The nearest town is Historic Tavira (5 miles away), a fishing port with an old-fashioned and tranquil atmosphere, full of lovely squares, churches, shops and markets. The nearest village, Luz de Tavira, is a mile away and has a small local fish, fruit and vegetable market and a local supermarket. Casa Pinheiro is about half an hour by road from the Spanish border. The beautiful city of Seville is less than 2 hours away and the whole of Andalucia is within easy reach. Lisbon can be reached in two and a half hours by road. The Algarve hills with their wonderful spring flowers and spectacular sunsets and good walking and bird watching are ten minutes away. | ||||
